IRTTians in blogspace!
Of late, I have found a handful of bloggers from IRTT (I could collect only 2003 passed outs! Others could include here.)

- One of the good collection of original tamil writings! (அலுவலகத்திலிருந்து ஆரறை மணிக்கே கிளம்பினேன் இருந்தும் ஆச்சர்யமில்லை ..ஆம் அது அதிகாலை ஆரறை..)
Mandu @ Harish (Mech - still in CTS!)- mugamudi Peter as well as pisiraandhaiyar!
Sathya (ECE - Vettivelai at Infosys, UK!) - I_speak - Sathya. T…..wow…people preferred to follow it with a Sathya caaapiiiii (variants: coffffeeee, caaafeeeee). But being the cool one that I always had been (sorry, but sometimes one has to say such things!), I could handle all that.
Maams @ Nithiyanandhan (Shifted from CTS Mumbai to IconCR, Chennai as he could not be so Vetti at CTS!)- f-e-e-l-i-n-g-s! Romba feel panraruppa!

unmaiya sollatuma - innerathuku evan da call panrathu... aiyoo ivanuku vera polape illa...cut the calll....
Poyi sollatuma - Call you later am in a meeting :D
Surandai @ Murugesan (AdventNet, Chennai!)- Mokkai! Same as the name indicates!
Ore oru ooriley ore oru mokkai appa....
Otha mokka pethaney athuyaru enga appa...
Mokkaiya pethathey senthosam ponse mokkaiya pehtathey santhosam...
Maaps @ Venkatramanan - (AdventNet, Chennai!)- Selectionz
Naattukku uthavum pala upayokamaana vishayangaL

Good Old Days!
Take a close look at the 2 pictures. Could you infer anything significant?
I got both these pictures from Megala a monthly novel (published now?); The issue dates back to May 1993! The first image is from a jewelers in Madurai claiming to give 21% interest in fixed deposit & the second one is for PooMaalai - that's how the Media giant Sun TV started!
Think of the 21% interest in FD - A whooping 5 times increase of todays 4.5 % of banks! Man, will you even think of any insurance or any stock options if you are offered this! Hmm. Good Old days!
The 2nd picture kindles some interest.
Sun TV, in 1993 started as Video Magazine - PooMaalai!. In those days where TV meant DD, anything other than DD is special. These guys (Kalanidhi Maran & his friends) recorded a video cassette of 90 minutes & circulated to Video libraries & that was an instant hit. In their own words
But they couldn't make big money! As this cassette got replicated & circulated!
But this was the basis for their Sun TV! Now could anyone think South India sans SunTV!
Have anyone read of Kalanidhi Maaran's Interview on Vikatan Pavazha Vizha Malar & his kanavu, a special youth supplement in Anantha Vikatan?
That will really be an Inspiring story for any Entrepreneur! That too his words - Friends are the best partners for any business - Engrave it in golden letters!
