Could you infer anything significant?<br /><br />I got both these pictures from<span style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);"> </span><span style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(204, 102, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Megala</span> </span>a monthly novel (published now?); The issue dates back to <span style="font-style: italic;">May 1993!</span> The first image is from a jewelers in Madurai claiming to give <span style="font-weight: bold;">21% </span>interest in fixed deposit & the second one is for PooMaalai - that's how the Media giant <a href="http://www.sunnetwork.org/">Sun TV</a> started!<br /><br />Think of the<span style="font-weight: bold;"> 21%</span> interest in FD - A whooping 5 times increase of todays 4.5 % of banks! Man, will you even think of any insurance or any stock options if you are offered this! Hmm. Good Old days!<br /><br />The 2nd picture kindles some interest.<br />Sun TV, in 1993 started as Video Magazine - PooMaalai!. In those days where TV meant DD, anything other than DD is special. These guys (Kalanidhi Maran & his friends) recorded a video cassette of 90 minutes &amp; circulated to Video libraries & that was an instant hit.
